These cute little faceted scoops are approximately 1 tablespoon capacity. They’re designed to live in your coffee jar and bring a little moment of joy each morning when you’re preparing the perfect cup. Though I do know a few folks who have a wee nip of whisky from one, like a mini kuksa.
The red and black ones are called ‘lavascoops’ with the hot red showing through the coal black surface. The blue and while version was first done as a commission but has proved so popular it’s not my main version, inspired by the sea and waves they’re called ‘seascoops’. These are made from alder which gives the inside a warm glow and painted with food safe traditional milk paints.
I also make versions from other woods, at present there’s cherry and just one special cotinous version.
