This blackthorn spoon has an asymmertic bowl making suitable for right handers only. It’s cleft radially so there’s a mixture of the pale sapwood and the dark heartwood with red and dark brown tones. There’s a striking black line between the two colours of wood and this is characteristic of blackthorn (and other trees in the plum family). Note that over time the red will most likely fade to a dark brown but it’ll still be gorgeous.
