Age for attending courses
The carving and green woodwork courses are designed for adults unless otherwise clearly stated. Courses for young people require a responsible adult to attend and the course booking should be made by the adult. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you are confirming that you are at least 18 years old.
In some circumstances under 18s may attend adult courses but this must be agreed with Dave Cockcroft before the booking is made and the person making the booking must be a responsible adult.
Please note that our gift coupons are transferrable – you can pass them on to anyone but they can only be used once. No refund will be given for unused valid gift coupons or those that have expired.
When specified that a voucher is redeemable for a particular value, e.g. £50, against certain courses, it is redeemable for that amount and can only be used to book onto classes with a value equal or higher to that amount.
Once a booking has been made using a voucher, that booking is non-refundable and cannot be transferred to a different course or date.

Fresh coffee and tea, cake and biscuits are provided. Please bring a packed lunch.
Courses are held at different venues, check the venue when you book.
Details of classes and workshops contained on the website may be subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to cancel or move a class or workshop due to unforeseen circumstances including illness.
If for any reason we are forced to cancel a class we will notify you as soon as possible. In this event we will be able to transfer your booking to another available class, or alternatively we will refund your course fee in full.
Once a booking is made you should immediately receive a confirmation email.
Joining instructions are emailed the week before the course and cover place and times, what to wear and what to bring.
Please note: email will be sent to the email address of the person who has made the booking. If you are buying a class for a friend, we will leave it to you to pass on these details at your discretion.
Please note that our courses are designed for adults. We cannot accept bookings from or for people under the age of 18 except in special circumstances that are agreed with Dave Cockcroft before the booking is made and the person making the booking must be a responsible adult. An example would be where a young person, say a 16 year old, has previous experience carving or using edge tools safely.
We regret that once booked we cannot offer refunds or transfers on any workshops or classes.
If for any reason you need to cancel your place on a course then we regret that no refund can be issued. If you are booked on a course and do not turn up on the day then no refund or transfer will be given.
Transfers onto an alternative class or date are only offered under exceptional circumstances and are at the discretion of The Green Wood Guild.
You can however transfer your place on a course to a friend at any point before the course starts. If you do wish to transfer your place to a friend, please notify us as soon as possible. If we have not received any notification that a transfer has been made, we reserve the right to refuse entry to the class.
Booking For Another Person
If you’d like to book a class for a friend or loved one we recommend our gift vouchers for that personal touch!
However you can also book a class directly, on another person’s behalf. Simply make the booking as you normally would and state the name of the person who will be attending the class in the ‘Additional Info’ box at the checkout.
