About the courses
Summer season courses are at The Woodyard on Cherrington Lane near Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Autumn and winter one day courses will be held in the yurt, with a woodburner, at Days Cottage in Brookthorpe on the A416 between Stroud and Gloucester.
I’ll be running the same course on Friday and Sunday as I know some people prefer week days and others weekends. There will be one or two courses for improvers in autumn and spring where we’ll look to develop your existing skills by carving an eating spoon and have a look at decoration techniques.
Cost of the course is £70 for the day (sorry I’ve had to increase the price a bit for 2018 so I can pay a bit more towards maintenance of the yurt and other facilities).
Tea, coffee and hot and cold water for drinks will be provided, as will biscuits and cake. Please being a packed lunch and your own flavourings (herbal teas etc) if you prefer.
Starts at 10am – please arrive from 9.30 to settle in and have a cuppa before we start.
Finishes at 4.30pm (but can overrun to 5pm at the latest).
All tools and timber provided.
